Welcome to the official site of William Recording, a music label founded in 2013.

The project began as a simple offer to help. World-renowned Czech guitar virtuoso Pavel Steidl hadn't released a solo album in almost a decade, although all his previous titles had proved extraordinarily successful with critics and general audiences alike. No established publishers were showing interest in releasing his new work...
At one of our meetings, while we talked about music and music-related projects as we always do, I ventured the idea of establishing a new label that would produce Pavel's next album – anything to help a good cause. Though I had almost no previous experience with publishing of any kind, promises should be kept, and so I set to work to make Pavel's vision a reality.

Here I must admit that without the assistance of another music friend of mine, Radek  Křižanovský, who is both an experienced producer and the co-owner of an influential art agency, the whole process would have taken longer, I would have made more mistakes, and much more effort on my part would have been required. With Radek's patient and altruistic help, everything worked out smoothly and on Friday, September 13, 2013, Pavel's album was recorded.
I will consider this date the de facto start of William Recording's existence.

What becomes of this label in the future – that is, how many and what sorts of records it might publish – depends not only on myself as the owner and producer, but even more importantly on listeners like you. Your interest as well as your willingness to purchase our products will help ensure the completion of our future projects, of which I will inform you on this website.
